Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium - Another View from the Cross of Remembrance
This panorama looks back towards the walls containing the names of the missing. There was not sufficient room on the walls of the Menin Gate for all the names, so more were added here. It records the names of 34,827 British men killed after 15 August 1917 who have no known grave. However, the names of all Australian soldiers missing in Belgium are recorded at the Menin Gate.
There is also a view of the random nature of the graves in the section that was used as a battlefield cemetery.
